I'll suggest places that are fun without making you feel like you have to be "trendy" . Harrah's outdoor bar(Local call it the Carnival)........good drinks and live music. Caesar's Forum is an unexpected place to meet people, Margaritaville on the strip by the Flamingo Hilton is fun and has live music on Fridays or Saturdays and you can order food there too, off the strip you could go to Moose's Beach house across from UNLV and Metro Pizza down the street is another popular college spot, the ESPN Zone in New York/New York is fun too. Mandalay Bay is the hangout for a lot of the young and trendy crowds along with the Palms. To avoid crowds and have fun, go to Neonopolis- Jillian's is the place to go there with bowling, bar, live music, good food, and a movie theater across from it. Also, don't forget about Mt. Charleston for great hiking and mountain views and Red Rock Canyon

I go to Vegas 2-3 times a year..my favorite casinos to see are Paris, the Venetian, NYNY and the Luxor...a great day trip (you can set it up with the hotel desk) is to go to the Hoover Dam and do a raft trip for the day. It is really beautiful and relaxing (not like white water rafting, calm water) and you will be meeting people from all over the world. Sorry I can't point you in the right direction for shows, I only go to the comedy clubs, but my best friend saw Zumandi and said it was the best she has ever seen! Also the new Beatle's version of Cirque du Soleil, I think it is called LOVE is supposed to be even better.

Youre in for a great time! Just walking around in these huge casinos is great! I was in LV about 2002 and loved the place!
I skipped the resturants and sticked with the buffes. I would recomend high class casinos for restourants. The better the casino = the better the food. My favourite was hotel Rios buffe, great! Othe good places is: Paris paris, Venetian, Ceasars shopping arcade, MGM grand, New York, New York but there is many more! Dont miss grand canyon as I did, you will regreat it. Dont miss a traditional showgirl show either! If youre a trekkie dont miss the Star Trek experience at LV Hilton! Great! Johan

Must See: Red Rock Canyon! You will need to rent a car and ask at your hotel you are staying at how to get there.
Free Attractions: Water Show, Valcano, on the main strip - go at night, it's really much better. Go to the MGM Grand hotel to see the Lions - Awesome!
Pay Attractions: Manhatten Express rollercoaster at New York, New York Hotel. It's a scream, and you get your picture taken on one of the hills - very fun-picture is funny!
Casinos - take your pick, they are all pretty cool.

there are a lot of things to do that are free around the strip. a water show witch is crazy! a volcano across the street, the ti show (the one from miss congeniality 2) the night flight over the strip is neat and fairly cheap and you have to hit downtown on Saturday Fremont st is great!!!

ok well first off CEASARS PALACE!! omg, you will die when you see it, love that place! uhmm, McCagney's steakhouse in the golden nugget, its on the top 10 best steak places in our country, uhmm, i hear the venition has great shopping. hmmm fashion show mall, but DO NOT go on a friday night, because taxis DO NOT go there on firday nights, idky but they dont. uhmm, yea dress summerish cuz its hot, HAVE LOTS OF FUN!
