Both.
You'll become more intelligent in realizing how people are extraordinarily intelligent. So you can win both ways.
But you are intelligent, because that was a good question ^.^

ps...but try not to worry on other peoples intelligence, or comparing yourself to them. We all have our own intelligence, therefore nurture your intelligence, and hey you might even become one of those extraordinarily intelligent people yourself^^

Friend,

do not waste time in exploring the causes for the intelligence in others or try to gauge how intelligent you are.(some others should say whether you are intelligent or not)

Try hard with commitment.Put all your efforts and aim at the thing you want to acquire, as a shooter pointedly, without any side distractions sees the object he wants to shoot.
when you try hard with commitment nothing stops you.You are born intelligent.Use it .Prove it.Never say that you are not intelligent.
Have an aim....then put in your best...success is yours.

Go ahead .god Bless you.

I believe the only way too build inteligence is to learn from the people that have come before you. In your studies you should learn not only what great minds have done but how there concepts were originated and implemented... this should make u smarter as well. Einstein once said "if I have been able to see farther than any man bdore me... it is because i have stood on the shoulders of great men" Meaning he didn't think of everything himself... he studied ofther great minds/achievements and built upon them. If it worked for him why not appy his method for yourself.

All answers above me, except for that rev renee dude and that one above me (wich I dont get why she is ref. to that rev renee)

anyway, i thnk its a waiste of time firguring out how inteligent
or why people are inteligent.
The most "inteligent scientific" people struggle with these
questions everyday,and they arent congruent,
if you know what i'm getting at.

You could also (in addition to all other answers) try:
A. stealing ideas from others, wich will save you alot of time.
And if its a good iea, why not?
(i myself never do that, why, i dont know)

B. When you perceive someone is smarter than you,
it means maybe you're in some sort of self-progress situation
where you want to be better than who you are right now.
And that could be a good thing cuz it drives you to do more. and better.
So you're using those better and smarter people like some stepping stone to pull yourself up.

Does that work for you?
Im not saying you should use people. thats not what i'm saying.
Im just saying it is human nature even,
to get around people who you admire, and try to become
just as good or even better or try to get more in that direction you are interested in.

good luck.

Just be satisfied with who you are. Sometimes we have our own limits and it's a waste of time to compare ourselves with others.
