sometimes the kindest thing to do when an animal is suffering is to end its life.....it is kinder to let them go than to watch it suffer for hours.....

my frineds hampster was very ill a few weeks ago.,.....similar symptoms, poor little thing was shaking and liying in its own urine..... had been like that for almost 48 hours.... so we helped him along a littl ebit.... took only a minute for him to stop breathing but was kinder all arround

Probably Bacterial infection better known as wet tail. If it is wet in the rear clean the cage out and get him in the bathroom with the heat lamp on or place a heating pad under the cage and a cover over the top. Go to your local pet shop or Petco and look for a product made by Mardel called Wet Tail. It treats this kind of infection in Hamsters. Long story short you may have let the cage get a little on the dirty side. Keep the cage clean and try the medicine I told you about. The blue is is blood showing through the skin, it happens when they are wet or fever or teamp.wrong.

You need a vet quickly. The local ones have a night surgery or the PDSA will help you.

take it to a vet quickly, it sounds to me like it has fallen and become paralysed and the swelling is caused by a bruise. get to a vet as quick as possible and they will know exactly what to do. for now i suggest keeping him warm by putting him on a towel placed over a hot water bottle, small animals loose heat very quickly when ill and this makes them get worst

Get her/him to the vet NOW. If you can't afford a vet then to one of the animal welfare clinics. You are letting him/her suffer needlessly, as well as yourself and family. I know it is terrifying but you must deal with this immediatlely.

Try giving it the kiss of life and put it in the recovery position. Ring the emergency services.
