I've never been on welfare but I've known people who were, they feel its owed to them, truly!
Its like single moms getting earned income credit on their federal tax, I know one that makes under 10 grand a year and gets back 4500.00 every year.
Its a good thing I'm Bi or I may get mad at all the abuse the government does to my darry aire

Not all the people on Welfare are thieves of course.

What really makes me angry are the people who are making a decent living by earning "Under the table" money and then turn around and get Welfare. Those leeches have no guilt or they would not do it.

I also feel very badly when I have known at least two people who had paid into the Welfare program and could not get it when they truly needed it.

I feel that people that abuse welfare should be arrested. I also think the government purposely poorly manages the system so that the people using it will never get out.

The answer to your question is no they don't. They don't really understand where it came from and frankly feel the deserve it. Either because the world did them wrong or that they are too smart to work for money when they get it for free. I think it should be privatized so that it isn't abused.

The guy above said it right though. How do all of the CEOs and whatnot feel when they are risking thousands of people ALL of their savings and retirement. Sure, they should diversify, but not everyone knows that.

People who need help shouldn't feel guilty about getting it. They aren't "stealing." What they get is given to them. I'm really sick of people complaining about their taxdollars going to welfare recipients. Way more taxdollars go toward corporate welfare than poor people. Plus, there are many ways to be "productive" besides working to make money. One of the premises of Capitalism is that for one person to have money, someone else is being denied it. That's what supposed "productive" people should feel guilty about. Oh, by the way, would you feel guilty for recieving welfare because you aren't able to work because you are having multiple seizures a day because of a brain tumor and having to have brain surgery to remove said tumor? I don't.

I'm not sure if u r aware that the Colo. City Morman clan leader takes all the welfare money (18 years of it) for each out of wedlock baby that their little girls have with the older men.

Utah does nothing about.

If you were on welfare, would you feel guilty about seeking help until you got back on your feet? What makes you think that the needy is stealing from productive people? You have a lot of nerve being judgmental. I won't be surprised if you get other not-so-kind responses to this question. Next time, you should really think.............I mean, REALLY THINK..........before you ask a question!

Unfortunately, I don't think they feel anymore guilty than the CEO's and government officials who steal from productive people.

1. 'Stealing' is YOUR word for it. Perhaps THEY think of it as being helped while they're down.

2. 'Productive' is YOUR word for it. Perhaps THEY think of it as simply having more than you need.

3. Do you think that by capitalizing all the nouns, verbs and adjectives in your 'question' that it increases it's impact or makes you seem more intelligent? It does neither.
