I asked a question if America should trade Iranian Hostages it is holding, all with diplomatic credentials, for the British Soliders being held, and by the way the facts are unclear if the Brits were where they said they were in disputed waters. And most people, possibly from the States, said NO! or that the Iranians should be Nuked. Always ready to kill people they know nothing about. The Average Iraninan citizen wants freedom and democracy, not problems, they are having the same issues with their dictatorship under the Ayatollahs as americans are having with their Govt. under GWB.. How Ignorant is the average American really?

Why can’t Europe solve their own international conflicts and stop depending on the US to bail them out every time? How’s that a country that's was founded centuries later than European countries was able to surpass them so rapidly economically and militarily and become the words biggest power while being so “ignorant”? Why are the United Nations Headquarters located in NY and not somewhere in Europe (since they got such much wisdom and all) ? If the US is such a terrible country why does it have the largest immigration rates around the globe? Who took down the Berlin wall to once again help European powerless of helping themselves?

A could keep on going, but it doesn’t really matter since penis envy is such a blinding force, and you’re so obviously consumed by it.

The average American probably realizes negotiating with terrorists and giving in to blackmailers is not the most effective way to deal with the situation you describe. Assuming that the "nuke 'em" comments came mostly from US answers, coupled with your assurrance that the average Iranian citizen wants freedom and democracy is rather ignorant in itself as not too many Iranians are willing to revolt to gain these ideals for themselves.

Hey Euro-trash, just because Europe is an over taxed socialist haven for whiners like you, doesn't mean you are wise to all the facts and Americans are not. Do you think because you speak with an accent you are the smartest person in the room? Now to get to the meat of your silly question, yeah give the Iranians what ever they ask, have meetings with bloated politicians back and forth saying the same old blah blah blah. It worked during WWII didn't it.

The majority is very ignorant, I for one am not, I understand how you feel, except I'm over here living with them...

I think 9/11 caused such feelings of mallice from the average americans. But under this guise of "terrorism" when the country is in a state of shock, is when they implemented their plans to take over more nations...

I really do want to just move somewhere far away but I don't have the financial means to yet...

'How Ignorant Are Americans to the facts?'-Wow that's a tough question. In my experience they are quite terible with geography (btw very funny James B he he ). But I guess the whole 9/11 thing has made them paranoid of many countries and so they just want to wipe out wherever they may feel as a 'threat' and you and I see as countries that are trying to better themselves.

Actually, you have made a critical error in reasoning akin to racism. You have taken one set of responses and generalized them to a description of all Americans, (which, although it is common usage, is a poor word to use by non-U.S. citizens because you just insulted TWO continents of people all of whom are 'Americans').
In the United States we have freedom of many sorts, including the freedom to disagree and have a WIDE variety of beliefs and goals. Your generalization demonstrates how small the sample set for your judgment is, or how quick you are to judge "people 'you' know nothing about".

My family is formally Islamic. They escaped in the 1950's. I have read the holy books of Islam, and I agree with the policies of the United States of America. I know what Islam has planned for the rest of the world (not every single person, of course, as most are oppressed and kept in ignorance due to the horror with which most Islamic dictators see free speech and free press). Islamic belief in the infallability of its holy books (unlike Christianity that went through it's own 'revolution' to the point where the literalists are in the minority) is a danger to every citizen on earth. I encourage people to read these texts and see what Islam truly believes and wants. There are beautiful things in Islam, but until the revolution is over, and the dictators of Islam are overthrown, Islam will be the blind and deaf child it has chosen to be since it turned it's back on anything Western. At one time, it was a center of art, culture, and philosophy. Since then, it has simply been like an idiot savant child who keeps doing the same thing over and over again, even though it does it well.

It is time for Islam to be set free, and to join us in the 21st Century.

Free speech and free press will make it impossible for Islam NOT to join us.

Is this ignorant? A European (as you label yourself) telling a U.S. American that he wonders about the ignorance of the average American just because he wants to attack people who attack his allies?

I've seen this before. We all have. It happened at the beginning of WWI and WWII. It happens at the beginning of most wars.

It's called cowardice in those who are attacked. It's called siding with the enemy in times of war if you are not a member of "our" group (whatever group that is). It's called patriotism (to the enemy) if you are part of the enemy.

We are in WWIII. What side have you chosen?

Keep speaking up, however (free speech, and all), as it will only make the U.S. stronger (we thrive on it and other differences). The truth will survive and dominate the more we shed light on the ideas and facts, as lies cannot abide scrutiny and the focussed attention of every free person on earth.

Freedom is coming to all of Islam. Soon.

Americans are so ignorant that they realize they can speak against their government and not risk death (feel the sarcasm). It is ignorant to assume because many Americans want to nuke Iran that they know nothing of it or its influences.

To answer your question, If you are a republican you
wouldn't trade because if Iran kills them you have a BS reason to start a war with Iraq.

If you were a liberal you would make the trade because Britain is suppose to be our allie.
