LOTS OF PATIENCE.
Have a lineup of music, comedy tapes and even a TV nearby, so you can stomach grinding.
Other than that, use the LFG tool to find instances that are +- 2 levels or less of you. Anything more, dont go.
Also, if you suspect your group sucks at ANY time, just flat out leave, they are holding you back.
For quests, dont do delivery quests. Try and do only ones that say "kill X mobs or collect X tokens from mobs"
DO NOT DO THE "Go far away to this place and talk to this dude" unless it is absolutely necessary.
If you are a DPS class (rogue lock warrior hunter mage) then you can solo your way to 60/70. Find weak mobs that you can destroy easilly (down to 90% of your level, dont fight anything higher lvl than you, it will take to long to kill and rest).
ask a mage for food/water or if you are a melee, use bandages.
also, DO NOT BLOW MONEY ON THE AUCTION HOUSE. Save all your money, till you are nearing 70, then you can check out the auction house. you should get all of your leveling gear free from mobs/quests.

The best way to lvl in WoW is to rest for multiple days if you absolutely have to play make an alt character and let your main rest for a bit so you double xp your kills then quest like a mad man or woman or whatever you playing.
The only other option is to pay online at the WoW illegal sites that have a little Korean kid play your toon till it hits 50 or up to lvl 70 but you don't get the joy of playing.
Your best bet is to join an active guild that will have you tag along at a lvl that is close to their higher lvls and play a support role for them that way you get decent xp and great drops along with learning more about being a community member and it's just plain fun playing with others but remember to listen.

Rested exp may is great, but the most effeciant way to level fast is to quest. If you are one of those players that think you can level faster by rested exp, you are sadly mistaken. if you are in oultand and at approx. lvl 60, you will get 10K exp from rested exp after being logged out for several hours. However, you do one quest in outlands (which will take 15-30 mins), you will get 10K exp from turning in the quest, not including the exp gained from making kills for the quest. So, questing has been proven by many players to be the way to go.

some races and classes have a poffession that adds exp like humans can gain more exp from blacksmithing mining and engineering i think and along with that quests are supposed to be the best way to level up. also, i havent played that in a long time so my character will be rested for a long time. if u maybe stop playin for even a couple hours ull be rested for a while so try to get a bunch of kills while u have that rested period because youll get double exp
