If you really care about her, love her from a distance. Don't entrust her w/ any of your secrets and try to find or spend more time with the friends that you find trustworthy. If she asks you why you alienated yourself from her, tell her the truth. Maybe it will help her take a good look at herself and realize that it is not okay to betray your good friends. Believe it or not some people can be clueless.

I just ran into this problem recently. I think if a friend is talking about you behind your back then they are not true friends. Anything that these people say about you should be said to you directly. Even if they have a problem. I am sorry it hurts when you lose a friend, but who needs enemies with friends like that.

Well, as time will show you, because I am assuming you are young, real friends don't talk behind your back. You called her your best friend also.......trust me sweetie, a best friend would always defend you to the world, not talk about you when you turn around to walk off.......dump her and the so called friendship because she definitely doesn't know the meaning of a friend.

Depends, is she being nasty or just having a little winge. And, do you talk behind her back? I have two best friends, and all three of us are constantly talking about each other, I know they ***** about me, and thats fine, its their way of getting it out, i had obviously done something to annoy them, and i ***** about them, and im sure they know that, but really, we all know we love each other, and true friends dont worry about something trivial like that. But if she is being downright nasty, then confront her and explain that you are hurt by what she said. Good luck.

If she's sharing secrets and/or putting you down behind your back then she isn't your friend to begin with. Lose her like a bad habit.

meh you might as well just get over it, i bet you and all your friends have said something about one another to one another, its natural, and it happens all the time, people are gunna talk. but if shes saying some things that aren't true then she can't be trusted. and you should find new friends

No, I wouldn't. Recently a friend did that to me. When I found out I was furious. Tell her or him that you know they are backstabbing you and end the relationship then and there. Just my opinion. :)

I would confront her about it and see what she says. I honestly wouldn't be friends with someone who is shady.
