The best thing to do, or what is common when selling used merchandise is to sell it for half of its retail value. So for instance if the PS2 is going for $100.00 in stores then you sell it for $50....
Dont go off what you paid for it because if you paid 300 for it and sell it for 150 then no will probably buy it because its 100 brand new in stores.

Since the PS2 old edition is going for about $80-$90, your better off trading it in for credits at a gamestop type store.

if i were you probally 40-60$ depending on what the buyer thinks. Say 60$ and see if he agrees. Ps2 are second generation and now with the Ps3, Xbox 360, and the Wii they are not really valuable

You'll be lucky to get $50 out of it. The most common mistake in the resale of home electronics is that people always overestimate how valuable there stuff if worth.
I agree with the person who said trade it in for credit. Then get yourself an XBOX360 and bask in the glory.
