There has been a lot of talk about Chase Utley possibly being a good front runner to win this year's NL MVP award.

Last year he had some great numbers .309 32-hr's 102-rbi's 131-runs scored 15-stolen bases and he finished 7th in the MVP voting.

What kind of numbers will he have to put up to beat out the big boys like Pujols, Howard, and Berkman.

Im so sorry the awnsers youre getting, its just a question and a possibility. Although, it proably wont happen, hered what hed have to put up :

305 - 315 Batting Average

40 -50 Homers

110 + R.B.I.S.

100 + Runs Scored

15 + Stolen Bases

And some good fielding statisitics. Hed have to hit a lot of Homers to win it. Id rank him Number 3 on my ''MVP'' list.

''MVP'' list

1. Albert Pujols - He can just smack it. Batting in over 100 R.B.I.S. and over 40 Homers, hes amazing. Enough Said.

2. David Wright - We know he can hit for average, and field, and do EVERYTHING. He just needs to devlop and before you know it he has a MVP in his hands.

3. Chase Utley what you said in youre question. Perfectly worded.

He will have to hope he puts up better numbers than anyone else and his team makes the playoffs. Let's face it, how can you come up with numbers of what someone has to do to win MVP if you don't know what he is competing with!

Well for starters the Phillies would have to make the playoffs. He had great numbers last year, he will at least have to stay consistent and even improve on those numbers.
