If you're fast then that helps automatically. Practice with a ball and get yourself familiar with it. Also practice kicking and passing it. Watch a few, a lot of soccer games and if you can get some pointers from somone who's currently playing or has played then that would be a big help.

Being very well fit and able to run really fast isn't all you need for playing football. That alone doesn't make a footballer. Have you heard of Zidane? He clearly wasn't the fittest guy nor the fastest. But he was the greatest player of the last decade, at least. Because of his impressive technique and knowledge of the game.
What should you do?? Yes, watch a lot of football. And practice with the ball; see how you kick it, your passing, your driving of the ball, your control of the ball, etc... that's what really matters. And then, on a higher scale, your "wisedom" on the pitch.

I've played soccer for... well most of my life and the best thing you can do is spend as much time with a ball as you can. Dribble one around your house, sleep with one, just use your feet as much as you can. Soccer camps can help sometimes, depends on the instructors. My advice is just to go out and get as much experience as you can. The ball is your friend, you never want to let it go too far away from your feet. Joga bonito!

being a fast runner already creates u advantage. But football is mainly about possessing control of the ball by foot. So first learn to dribble with your foot. That helps you realize how much or how little power to put when you're targeting a certain range. Then learn to run with the ball on a zig zag format.~ that should get u started~ Good Luck

for pure handling and dribbling, the classic dribbling around cones is always good. if you want to work on making and receiving passes, you could get together with a friend and just kick it back and forth, trying to use the inside of the foot. if you don't have a friend that u can do that with, you can just kick it against a wall. just work on getting control of the ball when it comes to you, then making an accurate pass.
p.s. for an accurate pass, you want to make sure your plant foot (the one not kicking the ball) is pointing where you want the ball to go. work your way from there.

dont listen to your friend if you want to play then play. The best thing is to get involved in game you will know straight away if your any good. Talent is natural and can not be practiced. Try kicking a ball and dribbling see if it feels comfatable

its not about just running....cause you dont just run at the same pace like when youre running a mile...you need stamina, strength, endurance.
its a tough sport but super fun and just cause youve never played doesnt mean you can start. go buy yourself a ball and just start kicking it around.
join a camp to help you learn faster.
dont expect to become a brilliant player overnight...but with some practice, who knows...you might end up better than your "friend"
