not always the case but i do see what you mean. I think that people want someone to win that reminds them of themself...maybe in an effort to feel good about themself because it gives a satisfaction like "if they can do it so can I"
but Im rooting for someone completely opposite of me

I saw a sign one of the audiance mmembers were holding
"Vote for Sanjaya, vote for our people" i got mad
they just want Sanjaya to win so they can brag about their race
those people are gonna create a steriotype that all indians like sanjaya
not all of them
