Where could I get a replacement hard drive for a Gateway MX7340 Notebook, either an official one, or a compatable hard drive, either online or in the Madison, Wisconsin area, Don't tell me eBay, I've looked, I've looked at the typical retail websites but admitadly haven't looked hard, what is a good retailer that would have a hard drive in stock that would work?

What are some compatable hard drives? And about how much would this run me?

If you plan to replace the hard drive, can't you remove it and see what information you get from it?

Here are your Hard drive specs:
* 80 GB 4,200 RPM
* 2.5-inch diameter
* 9.5 mm height

thats all the info you need. you can try looking in http://www.newegg.com or http://www.zipzoomfly.com Look for notebook 2.5inch hard drives. Price varies according to the storage capacity.
*one thing i forgot, you must find out the form factor of the Hard drive (ATA or SATA). If its a lil old, its prolly ATA
