Mopeds up to 125cc pay £15 a year but other than that any car registered before 1972 i think is exempt from tax so put some Bentley engine in a Morris Miner and your set.

Post pics please if you do

Don't quite understand your question but here's shot at answering what I think you're asking.

In the UK you cannot use any motorised vehicle (except some very small 10cc engines on push-bikes) on a public road without paying tax, and you can't buy a tax disc without having valid insurance and MOT for the vehicle.

In the UK....

You can heave any size engine in a vehicle and pay no road tax as long as it emmissions are under 100g/kg

In reality this is going to limit you to a small diesel or even smaller petrol engine.

Alternatively get an electric car and using the same rules, you'll not need to pay any tax. You can use the money you save on tax to pay your astronomical leccy bill.

It is not the size of the engine, it is to do with it's emissions and what the engine is attached too.

A typical articulated tractor unit is 16 litre and costs about £1500.00 a year to tax.
A typical mobile crane has an engine((s)some have more than one) of about 12 litre but only costs about £60.00 a year to tax.

This is because the mobile crane spends most of its working time off road and it uses the cheaper red diesel as well.

Anything, provided it was first registered before 1973!

I believe that "light quadricycles" are tax exempt, so that's 4kW power output (about 6bhp).

Also, tax is free on any car registered after 1st March 2001 with CO2 emissions less than 100g/km - which currently means a few hundred 1.0-litre Honda Insight hybrids, but will soon include the new 1.4-litre turbodiesel VW Polo Bluemotion.
