I have to do a project on lawyers in my class, and I can't find the responsiblities of a lawyer!!!! If you could tell me that would be great!

some of you think this is my WHOLE project, but its not, it is just a little thing of all the things i have to write about, thats the only thing i couldn't find, and thats why i only asked for the basics because it wasn't the WHOLE project!

First of all, a lawyer must zealously represent the interest of his/her client. A lawyer should not act in his/her own self-interest. A lawyer must act in accordance with the ethical principles as set in the jurisdiction in which he/she practices. Since you have stated that you do not want an enumeration of everything, and because I do not want to write your report for you, I have included some sources you may find helpful.

Real Estate, family, probate, personal inury are all different types of law with different responsibilities. That is a lot of coverage, you should really narrow your topic down a little and stick with a particular area of law. I work with a medical malpractice insurance company and my responsibilities are to take depositions, settle with patients who filed negligent claims, establish and negotiate settlement amounts, many different things, but I am just on a junior level at my job and the senior attorney's with more experience have the trial cases.

uh that's not a very hard question.. They help people in court cases to defend or prosecute someone.
