Did You Watch THE VIEW Monday on ABC?

I watched the show on monday March 26 as I do everyday and this is regarding what ROSIE said about the dead soldiers not getting as much attention on the news as the Pets who have died from food poisoning...I understand the point that she was trying to make but those soldiers SIGNED UP to be SOLDIERS and to DIE so that people like her can live peacefully and free in this country...Those "KIDS" as she calls them made peace with themselves that's why they went to war...keyword there being "WAR" whenever there is war there is death...somebody has to die and it might as well be those who signed up for it and not those who didn't sign up like those people who died on 9/11...OR OR those pets who also did not sign up to die from their food. She does not seem to understand that those "kids" over there are there because they want to be there and not beacuse they were forced to be there. She was way out of line in saying that just because she does not like Bush...How Do You Take What she said???

You are correct Rosie is a load mouth. People who sign up to join the armed forces know exactly what they are risking; recruiters, parents, teachers, and friends all talk with potential recruits about the dangers. The reason the dogs dying got more press is because in war everyone expects death, in buying dog food no one expects death. Rosie and others who answered your question don't seem to understand that. I firmly believe that any loss of life is bad and mourn the loss of our soldiers; they fight a necessary battle that I hope they return safely from.

The United States & other countries like England & Spain
have been attacked by terrorists before 9/11 & over
3000 of our soldiers didn't have to die for those attacks.

Getting wounded & killed in Iraq is not the answer to
terrorism. The atrocities committed by George Bush
should be front page news on a daily basis.

I'm sure the parents, spouses & children of these fallen
hero's would not agree with you.

Comparing pets to soldiers is ridiculous in the first place. As far as signing up to "die" who would have thought we would be so off base in such a senseless war? Alot of those soldiers were trying to get an education or a different direction in life and had no idea that they were signing up to go to war.

1) You are inferring that human life is worth less than the life of a dog.

) "Those kids made peace with themselves" You don't know that. That is a assumptive arrogant statement to make. Our military is not made up of suicide bombers and kamikaze pilots who head off into a certain death. It seems to me most soldiers head off into war with the hopes of returning home alive. It is unconscionable for you to declare they are "okay" with dieing

3) The obvious point is: While tainted pet food resulting in the loss of a pet is sad......it should not, CANNOT trump the devastating tragic loss of human life.

I understand your frustration. She does have a big mouth. However, when recruiters go to high schools they usually preach how the government will pay for there education, give them a job that pays lots of money, benefits etc. Death usually doesn't come up. There maybe a large % that are just poor kids taking an awesome opportunity.

Oh my, Rosie, is well known for her big mouth, and I do not pay much attention to her, or the opinions Rosie expresses on any subject. Rosie needs to learn much more before I would even consider listening to anything Rosie has to say.
