Al(Cl)3 is soluble in water so it dissociates into Al3+ and Cl-

If you take the balanced equation into account, you must put a 3 in front of the Cl-. Add up all of the coefficients (1 for Al3+ and 3 for Cl-) and you get 4.

it dissociates...4 ions (1 Al and 3 Cl). AgCl PbCl2 and Hg2Cl2 are the only salts that are insoluble that have Chlorine in them.
