Sex is legal at 16, but what else is there that a 16 year old has to be responcible for. Can they sign contracts? Drink in a pub?

They can buy cigarettes, although that law is set to change.

At 16 you can have sex..but not watch it on DVD or look at it in magazines or go to the cinema to see an X rated film.
If you a male, an old man can entice you into his bed..but as the law on smoking age is set to change...you wont be able to have a cigarette afterwards nor have a drink to get you 'in the mood'.
Sounds silly...but its the LAW..!!

16 best time to go drinking cause when you turn 18 you know you're allowed no risk no fun make sure you have protected sex live and enjoy till someone says you're not old enough then lie

Depends what country and or state you are in, whether you are emancipated or not. There are many factors. however, even at 18 or 21(full majority) there are many that shouldn't be making decisions for themselves because they are simply put, too immature.
