We got over it - there wasn't much to take (we were poor as church mice). The only thing I had a hard time with was that they went through my daughters drawers - that was just icky, but I don't dwell on it.

I was robbed three times in two weeks. The last time I pulled a gun on the person and they took off. I got over it when they put my picture in the paper and the store I worked for re-hired me even though it was against their policy.

We immediately changed the locks. I washed everything that had been neatly taken out of the cupboards and off the shelves (mostly clothing, bed linens and towels). We did the follow-up paperwork with police, bank (checks were stolen) and insurance. And that was mostly that.
EXCEPT that I still occasionally look in jewelry store windows to see if I can spot my grandmother's silver filigree brooch and bracelet which was one of the few things taken.

My house was broken into about a month after we moved in, it sucked they stole our t.v. ,Nintendo 64, my mom's bedspread and all of her jewelry including her wedding ring. It was horrible. We filed a police report and went to all the nearby pawn shops, but never got the stuff back. Still not over the loss of her wedding ring.

well techinically YES. but the man i was married to paid them to rob us. helped them load their moving truck and then sent them on their merry way to hide our stuff! (of course he had no idea!) months later the FBI contacted us to let us know we'll never get our stuff back cause they have been under investigation for years and and all the stuff has been auctioned off. and they wonder why i went nuts! lol

Yes, last summer by my friend/next door neighbor! He stole everything of monetary and emotional value I had to destroy me. Although he did his best to hit me below the belt out of mere jealousy, he never succeeded in stealing my inner glow!

my brothers truck just got broke into the other night, actually morning, and it was just in our driveway!!! they took his really nice radio and all his CD's.... he was in it talking on the phone till 1:00am too!!! can you beleive that? he got over it pretty well though....
