is it normal to have a late period after sex for the first time?

i've had sex for my first time about two weeks ago, and i should have recieved my period about 5 days ago.. is it my body just dealing with it or am i ...... :S

( we used a condom )

Your body has experienced something new and hormones change a lot of things in ur body, so its just your body dealing with a change. If you go a long period of time before getting your period, i would suggest buying a pregnancy test just to make sure.

Sometimes you are late after that first time just because you are worried you might have gotten pregnant, which throws your hormones out of whack. But, you certainly could be pregnant. Why on earth would you not use some kind of protection????????????

If your periods are normally regular, I'd get a HPT. If not, wait a few days and see, you may just be experiencing a longer cycle.
