Athletics and academics are on opposite poles of human ingenuity. They frequently require using opposite hemispheres of the brain. For some people, one half of the brain is extremely overdeveloped, making them either academically obsessed or else academically challenged. If you turn out to be one of the extremely stupid ones, obviously you will choose to take up athletics, or join the marines. Or, if you turn out to be one of the social degenerates, you will opt out of going to public places, thus there is little need for you to be physically attractive. The majority of human population, however, has a reasonably equal balance between the two hemispheres of the brain, and that is deemed to be normal, although every person will have a tendency to be either more academic or more athletic depending on their environment.

That is a very broad generalization. I am brilliant and beautiful. There must be someone else out there of the same breed. Then there's the muscle-bound beach bum who thinks water polo is playing with himself in the bathtub.

see, i don't get this.
some other girls in my classes say i'm smart when i get better grades than them, then they talk about me behind my back. the when the test comes, they come after you to copy your homework like flies to s***.
my parents always tell me i'm pretty, and i have had plenty of boyfriends, thank you very much. (that should answer your comment about physical beauty and social skills). i'm a dancer, and VERY physically active. i will admit i do get mad when i don't get 100 though, lol.
so please don't be so stereotypical!

You know, I once dated a cheerleader at my University who obviously was HOT and she was a graduate with honors in Mechanical Engineering.

I think it has to do with concentrating on school to distract being bothered by the other sex not paying any attention to them.

It's "normal" to be dumb?

I'm glad I'm different, then.
