Sometimes these get dust build up in them. You can either try your vacuum cleaner hose attachment, or use that canned spray air for cleeaning computers.
Bad or old batteries can make some beep - try changing it.
The last smoke detectors I bought from First Alert in 2005 said they were only to be used for 10 years (great repeat business clause). Anyway, if yours is older than say 12 to 15 years, maybe you just need a new one?

Blonde ... On some detectors, pressing and holding the test button when it's silent will test the alarm. If the alarm is already sounding, pressing and holding the test button may silence it.
If that doesn't work, remove the battery and then press and hold the test button; this will drain the capacitor and that annoying chirping sound will stop ... the sound alerting you to the battery strength getting low.
Good luck.

If the smoke detector is in your kitchen, move it out into the next room or hallway and put it on the wall near the ceiling to reduce sensitivity. Do the same with one in a laundry room or furnace room. For the furnace room, it is also a good idea to install a thermal (heat sensing) alarm after moving the smoke alarm out.
Success to your endeavor!

Check the batteries or move it from where it is located to another spot that isn't so prone to being so sensitive. Do NOT have one directly in the kitchen, put it outside the kitchen just a small ways.

If it's beeping, you either have a fire going somewhere in your house or the battery needs changing. Try removing the cover, and resetting it by taking the battery out and putting it back on.

I had one like that awhile back, cried constantly. Finally figured we'd both suffered enough and put it out of my misery by ripping it off the wall and flinging it across the room. Tragic demise, it's in a better place.

Take your vacuum out and vacuum the fire alarm. That should take care of the problem. It's just the dust that's causing it.Bye
