You should be able to trust your mom and tell her things like that. If you need pads and tampons, you will have no choice but to tell her. Otherwise, confide in a female relative or older friend.

Yes! tell her. She may be touchy about stuff like that, but she IS your mom, she went through this, and she cares about you!

My Mom was too. When I told her I asked her not to tell my Dad but she did. : ( Anyway, yeah, tell her. She's probably expecting that you will start soon anyway. Just tell her right quick and follow all the instructions on the boxes of stuff she buys. Tampons are scary at first but work best.

Many get a great dinner out when they get their period. It is a right of passage welcoming you into woman-hood. A mature thing to do would to see if you could make an appointment with your doctor so that you can learn more about what this change is. Congradulations!!!

How old are you? I believe that you should tell your mom. This is an important change and stage in your life and your mom will understand and will be able to help you if you should have any questions.

Definately. Tell your mom so she can understand the things you are going through. You should be able to be open with your mom about that kind of thing. I am very open with my mother about it. I was nervous too, you will live if you tell your mom! lol

yes tell your mother. Periods have nothing really to do about sex, plus she'll probably be excited you're growing up and want to have a mother daughter talk with you about your period

All Mums are touchy about sex when it comes to their little girls but i am sure she won't mind you telling her about this.
If you hide this she might think you are hiding other things and it might make things worse.
Good luck
:)

Definitely tell her! She can help you buy supplies and answer any questions you have. Don't be afraid to ask! All women are the same - we all go through this, and we all have the same parts.
