the drive has a capacity of 298GB. it has 197GB free space.
when i go to the command prompt and enter convert g:/fs:ntfs, it asks me for the volume label. what should enter here?

in windows explorer you can se the partitions , some like this:
c: (System)
d: (multimedia)
e:
f: (games)

etc ..


if you want to convert d from my example you need to type "multimedia" . if you want to convert e you should press key ( because that patition has no label)

The volume label is the letter designation of the drive that you want to convert. In most cases (not all) it is your "C" drive.

You don't necessarily have to use the "convert" command to do this, you can also just use the built in disk management program to do the same thing. Open it up and right click on the drive you want to convert and choose the "convert" menu option.
