The team to watch this year is the Texans. I am so glad that they got rid of David Carr. How long does it take for someone to realize that he sucked. You can't blame the offensive line forever!! In my opinion, I think that the offensive line did David Carr like the guys did Paul Crewe in "The Longest Yard!"

I also lay fault at administration. That McNair fella thought he did something by getting rid of Dom Capers and they still lost. He should have used the money he spent for the texans to bring the oilers back home. Oh how I miss them!!

carr isn't a bad qb, he just has some mental things to work out, i was hoping the texans would end up with jake plummer, i think he would've been a good fit, schaub will be good i think--i agree that they are the team to watch this year, and i think it will be their best year ever!

David Carr has had 4 years and has proven he is NOT the guy.
I have watched every game either in person or on TV. This guy (Carr) cannot read a defense. If it weren't true don't you think there would be teams, at this very second, knocking down doors to get him ? The NFL has seen what people in football know, that D.Carr is not a starter.

Now, for those who wanna blame the O-Line, yes for the first 2-3 years the O-line was bad but last year they gave up 20 fewer sacks. hmmm ANY NFL QB would be very happy to have that fewer sacks.
It has been estimated that last year, 1/3 of Carr's sacks came from.......... DAVID CARR.
He will not and cannot grasp the idea of checking down to the 2nd or 3rd receiver.
So stop blaming EVERYTHING on the O-line.
Houston was dealt some horrible coaching decisions from the last coach and GM.
One of the biggest mistakes was NOT taking Bush or Young last year.

So in closing, Let's give Schaub a chance because obviously Carr isn't the guy.
If NFL coaches thought Matt Schaub was so bad, those same coaches wouldn't have been trying to get him like so many were.

Good Luck Matt,

See ya David.....

I didn't think Carr was worth a first round, first pick. Especially coming out of Fresno State. Having said that, I don't think Schaub will do very much to turn things around. Schaub needs some serious playing time. All those years sitting on the bench has probably made a little rusty. I don't place all of the blame on the O-line but it is one of the reasons the Texans lose so many games. I expect them to draft a couple O-linemen next month in an effort to remedy those problems...

David Carr was not the problem, but they did need to get rid of him for both the team and for David himself. You're right that you can't put all the blame on the offensive line. In my opinion, the front office is very much to blame because they never did anything to stop the revolving door of lineman coming in and out and never really improved the line. That being said, until they fix that problem it doesn't matter who is taking the snaps they are going to have the same problems as Carr.

I'm not a David Carr fan but yeah your right he didn't spark with the Texans.I do think he could spark with another team. The Texans still have a large hill to climb to be amoung the top teams.

I don't know what to say. I mean they Texans have some talent on offense. Maybe it was David Carr holding them back. Maybe it wasn't him at all. Only time will tell all.

It'll work out good for both Houston and Carr. He is a good QB that will be much better in a different environment, and Shaub will get to prove he's a top notch starter.

I'm definitely not happy about that. I liked David Carr and thought he was a great quarterback with a horrible offensive line and had a crappy running game this year.

If you pay attention sweet is not get rid of him the solution , the front office had the chance to draft a good QB from the draft a year a go or get Reggie Bush and you think is the team to watch, watch who? Mario Williams?

carr is a decent qb, he just didnt have time to throw. he started out amazing early on in the season, then the line collapsed again. do you really think schaub will do better when he's less mobile then carr? i think not. on the other hand though, you never know. i may be surprised.
