I'm not exactly sure on the timeline. I saw it last night on the Science Channel. The show was on Quantum Physics and Galaxies.

Yes I did. The Milky Way and the Andromeda will do a little dosey-do and the Andromeda will take a lot of the Milky Way with it. Seeing as how the sun will be a mere white dwarf in about 5 billion years, and a brown dwarf in another 5 billion, it won't matter much to the Earthlings anyhow. What I want to know is why we're in a second rate galaxy when the Andromeda is so much bigger, brighter, and better. All those life forms in the Andromeda are going "we're #1, we're #1, neener neener neener." Drat.
