I hear you about the kids making you look tired! (Maybe that's because we ARE tired!)

Before you use any makeup, make sure your face is clean and use a good moisturizer first, then a little foundation, a little goes a long way. A little concealer under your eyes is good too.

Try using something that is not matte, so it gives you a little glow and helps to reflect light away from wrinkles and shadows. That will make you look less tired. The matte finish tends to make your skin look older because it almost absorbs the light.

I actually don't use foundation at all, just make sure my face is clean and moisturized, and then I brush on pressed powder with a big brush, instead of using the powder puff. Gives a nice sheer finish, dresses up my face, but it's not overdone.

Good luck!

Well I think you may find it helpful to go along to a boots counter or the ones in the large department stores like Debenhams or House of Frazer and get a make up lesson from the counter girls there. The lessons are usually free and a chance to try out their products with advice on best colours etc... Just bear in mind that they are trying to sell you their product but you could go to a few different ones and see the results yourself. The Body Shop do it too. Have fun being girly and enjoy being pampared.

Mix the two a little at a time, preferably on the back of your hand until you get the right colour for you.
I always buy 2 colours, that way I can make them paler in the winter months - so no orange face! and then in the summer I can go a little darker by adding more of the darker shade.

I could never find one either, until I started using mineral make up. Just pick from light, medium, and dark, the colors work for all skin tones just pick the one that is closest to your skin type let me tell you it is the best makeup ever it looks so natural. Try Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals. I get alot of compliments. You can't go wrong.

I suggest a tinted moisturiser or a light foundation that doesn't give a matte finish, my fave is teint innocence by Chanel, evens out your skin, brightens it too without looking like a mask. It comes in liquid or compact, I use the compact, it's easy to apply to the areas that need it

The correct way to find a shade to suit your skin is to test a bit on your face, go outside into daylight, and it should be hardly visible

argh! i have had your problem waaaay much!
okay so, ive never done this, but i know so many people that have, but you could go into a big store like Debenhams, and go to the Clinique or MAC or any of the others and just ask them to help u! its really that simple! im not sure whether u have to pay... its more likely that its free but ur kinda expected to buy their product which they'll prob push u into, but i guess its worth it;)
good luck sweetie xx

My keyboard is almost out of ink...
Darn, now I cant answer your question!
Instead I'll just have to let you know that Bare Minerals is the way to go. I have a similar skin tone and that stuff works for me. Now, I better stop before this thing runs out of ink and-
