After all they are so evil and ! So say the leftist democratic socialists on the left coast.

What about the other side banning myspace?

http://money.cnn.com/blogs/browser/2006/07/school-blog-ban-could-block-amazon.html

Just last week a local Catholic school here near South Bend, Indiana banned myspace usaged for its students BOTH IN SCHOOL and OUT OF SCHOOL. In otherwords you can't use myspace at all in you 'personal' life. If you do you are excommunicated from the school.

Looks like George Orwells 1985 is 50 years off the date = 2035.

Are these people insane? Both sides are moving tword extreme socialism. Wont be long and we will be back to the dark ages.

I dunno about the legos, but the myspace is a good thing. Myspace is for hookers and people desperate for attention. Heck, they should shut down myspace altogether.

I had not heard anything about the legos, but the myspace thing is just ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with myspace if parents would monitor what their children are doing on there. My friend sits down with his daugter periodically and has he run through all her friends with him, explaining how she knows each. She is not allowed to have any friends on there that she doesn't know personally. He also has her password so that he can keep an eye on everything. This is called being a responsible parent. If more parents would take an interest in their kids lives then there wouldn't be these problems and things like this wouldn't have to be banned.

Whoa, I hadn't heard about this one. Frankly, I think kids should be thaught to share and be good to one another before they get to shool age. The people who act selfishly are insane, not the ones who banned the leggos. If the kids can't get along because of a TOY, it's the kids who are in need of help. There should be a class on respect and sharing in every school. These kids should know that they don't OWN any piece of those leggos.

But to ban MySpace from home, that's stupid. It's not up to the teachers in SCHOOL to make the rules at home.

The Lego ban is extremely puzzling. If these are somehow dangerous to the leftist helium heads, what is next. A ban on assault tinkertoys? How's about we get rid of those Americocentric Lincoln Logs?
Good grief, these people are on some kind of permanent drug trip!

What a Catholic School does isn't the fault of liberals. Many parochial schools ban the use of certain websites outside of school.

I suppose these are easier things to fix than the problems of inequitable funding, and poor overall performance on test scores, or the fact that we rank in the basement worldwide in education amongst industrialized nations.
(dripping sarcasm)
but hey, lets ban Lego's and my space, that will fix the schools.

Leggos rock. MySpace isn't for kiddies. What will be, will be.

leggos is an educational toy, so why should a school ban it?

I'd rather see them ban teachers.
