OK, these two guys have had a love-hate musical relationship since the 1960's and they continue to work together. Who's the better guitar player? Who has the better catalogue of songs? If both of them died tomorrow, which leaves the stronger musical legacy?

Better guitar player is kind of subjective.Personally,I like Neil Young.From Buffalo Springfield to Crazy Horse to his solo stuff,he has the better body of work,also.Stephen Stills has had most of his success with CS & N(and sometimes Y).But consider too that Stephen Stills has worked with Jimi Hendrix and Hendrix played with some pretty awesome players.Neil Young leaves a stronger legacy based on his solo success and his work with Springfield and CSN & Y.Stephen Stills has had somewhat of a minor solo career and I think that is where the comparison ends.Neil Young is the answer to all your questions

It's like that thing or rivalry going on between
Roger and David. David Crosby and Neil
Young have always been good guitarists,
despite Crosby's career-spanning addiction
to freebase.
But politically, Young is probably the odd man
out, not Liberal Democrat Let's Do Something
like the other 3. Stills is liberal but not as
outspoken in his songs. "Johnny's Garden"
is to me an obvious reference to The Rose
Garden in Washington.

He was Steven Stills good friend Peter Tork, and he is an excellent musician in his own right. The Monkees have quite a legacy themselves.

Neil Young as a songwriter, guitar player, singer, overall musician is better than Crosby Stills and Nash put together, many times better!
