Tilo is actually short for a greek island called Tilos. Tilo was the youngest son of Telchinidas Aleas and Helios. On this island Tilo gathered therapeutic plants for his ill wife and later built a temple of which he became the priest. I don't know much more than that. I suppose though that since the name of the island came after the story of Tilo than the island's name is just a longer form of Tilo's name. Right??

THALIA

Gender: Feminine

Usage: Greek Mythology (Latinized)
From the Greek Θαλεια (Thaleia), derived from θαλλω (thallo) meaning "to blossom". In Greek mythology she was one of the nine Muses, the muse of comedy and pastoral poetry. This was also the name of one of the three Graces or Χαριτες (Charites).
