Keep a diary of everything they do and say to you. Then complain to the council yourself about their antisocial behaviour. But make sure you arent actually doing anything they can complain about like loud music, late night parties etc so they have no come back. People like this exist sadly all over the country. Ive known them so bad that people have had to move to get any peace from them.

I think you should see the housing officer yourself and like others have suggested keep a diary! I would go out in the garden more than ever and just say hi every time they looked at me! I'd be really polite and I'd even pick up the rubbish and politely ask if they dropped it by accident! With luck it would embarrass them enough for them to stop! I certainly would not give them the satisfaction of letting them know the behaviour bothered me! Bullies are the same as nuisance neighbours they like to know they've got you upset!

Some people have nothing better to do & some are just mean. I'm having a problem with my one neighbor, too. I caught the kids throwing rocks at my dogs (in a fenced-in back yard). I went to the parents, then our vehicles were scratched. I reported it to the police & asked their advice & got no response, so we put up security cameras. Hopefully this will stop them from doing anything else, but if not, we have a tape for the police. I have to keep my dogs inside when I'm not home. I'm afraid they'll try to poison them next. Can you move?

They might actually just be very nosey neighbours, next time you see them watching you give them a wave. That will probably do the trick, ask your other neighbours if they have noticed them self's being watched then you could ask them if there is something wrong. Failing that speak to your local council or call the police.

How old are your neighbours?

I too have nosey neighbours, cant do a thing without getting a minute by minute rundown of what me and my family were up to throughout the day. Thank god am going away for the weekend, i can go to the loo and not get told off for flushing the toilet too late at night!!!!

Only thing is though they arent being anti social, just god damn nosey!!!!!

You must keep a diary and have some evidence before taking the matter further. Make a counter claim with the council when you've given it a bit of time to get your facts to hand. Good luck.

Tell them straight to leave you alone and get on with there own life it's nothing to do with them what goes on at your house and tell them you will be complaining about them to the council and the police that should sort them if it doesn't then you just push as far as there willing to take it they will give up eventually

keep a check on everything they do oand say no matter how minor and build a case against them. Get the police involved. Theese people have no right to do what they're doing. They are in the rong!

Always sitting in their garden!! We have had some really cold days recently!!!

In order to demonstrate their complaints, they are going to need 'evidence,' I'd have thought. Maybe you could photograph your evidence in return!

As to 'what is up with these people,' without an examination / diagnosis etc, who can answer that?

Maybe it's simply 'Alzheimer's'...!

Sash.

Get in touch with your local victim support (look up the number in your phone book or go to BT.com). They will advise you of how to deal with this behaviour and may be able to provide you with a surveillance camera to record your neighbours actions.
