Did anyone hear about the guy?

who was in some kind of chatroom and he was feeling pretty depressed as he had just divorced with his wife. He told everyone he was going to kill himself, and because it was just a chat room where everyone was taking the piss out of eachother, no one believed him and they all told him to go ahead and do it. So he turned on his webcam and when people began to realise that he was telling the truth they were desperately telling him not to do it etc etc. Whilst others thought he was winding them up and they continued to egg him on saying "what you waiting for.. get it over and done with already". And he just hung himself. How crazy is that story? I mean could you imagine how bad this guy must have been feeling? Did no one hear about this?! x

i did i read it in the paper on monday
i think it is taking things a lot too far
he was being encouraged to do it by lots of people and then when he did i imagine there was a lot of back tracking amongst them.

it is sick to my mind that A) he did it and B) people encouraged it

Yes I read that in the paper too.Apparently he was in an Insult Chatroom.It is incredibly sad.The people who told him to get on with it are sick.Some thought he was just joking until they noticed his face was blue.

I didn't hear about it, but the fact that people were egging him on to do it just goes to show how horrible some people can be =)

that sucks.
makes me think of some of the answerers here, if they would feel bad if they thought their comment was enough to push someone over the edge.
