Where can i get custom designed barbie-like dolls?

Question

My band is doing a photo-shoot soon and we want to use dolls in our likeness for one of the shots. we want to dress them up in emo-ish attire and take pics of them playing instruments. The only site i can find do custom cabbage patch type dolls but im looking for just barbie type dolls (plastic) where we can make or buy the clothes and have it look something like our band members. *male and female*/ Anyone know where i can find barbie type dolls of all kind of looks and what not and clothes for them as well...?

Any help would be appriciated.

You can find a lot of doll artists that will make custom barbies for you, but be forewarned, it can get expensive. You may be able to find someone to do it cheaper for you, depending on how much work you want done.

You can also search on eBay for custom made costumes for Barbies. Even if a seller doesn't have exactly what you want, you can try contacting them and see if they'll do a custom order. Etsy is another good place to try - most of the items for sale on there are hand crafted and many artisans do custom work. http://www.etsy.com/

If you want to do the work yourself, the first place to start customizing a doll is redoing the hair.

all i can say is use a barbie and "hack it up" they make all kinds now... or go 2 there website maybe
