I heard that their are no wild kangaroos in Sydney Australia, then where are they? I am planning a trip out to Australia and I want to stay at a place located very close to where all of these exotic marsupials are at! Thanks!

Well, obviously Tassie Devils live in Tasmania. Koalas live in most states, but primarily from South Australia all the way up through Queensland. There are many species of kangaroos and wallabies. I can't think of any place where you wouldn't find them. Of course, you aren't going to see a roo hopping past the Opera House in Sydney, but if you get away from the city you are going to find hoppys of one species or another. I personally recommend Victoria as the location of choice. You're going to have easy access to all but Tassie Devils there. An excellent destination in Vic is the Great Ocean Road. You will see koalas and roos there as well as some amazing bird life. And probably the most beautiful bit of coastline in the world. There is also an island off the South Australian coast called Kangaroo Island. You'll see heaps and heaps of koalas and roos there. I hope you enjoy your visit! I came for a visit 10 years ago and fell so deeply in love that I never returned home to Texas.
