need to write a letter to Say 'no thanks' the right way ...for the job offer,,,, please note i already said that i would start in 2 weeks,,, but things changed ,,,,,,now i feel bad,,, and need to tell them that i will not be able to work for them,,,

tell them you had an personal emergency to come up that will not allow you take the position. tell them thank you so much for considering and accepting you. let them know you are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

You owe them the decency of a phone call. If you write a letter they will call you anyway, and then you'll have to try to avoid their questions/concerns.

They will likely be very disappointed and annoyed that you waited so late to back out. But this stuff happens all the time and they will forget all about you in a day or two. Be an adult and pick up the phone
