I spotted and bled for 2 days, the doctor told me that it was probably implantation and that I should just rest, it happened to me around 6 or 7 weeks. Just rest and put your legs up and don't do any heavy lifting. It is possible that you are about to miscarry, but the opposite can also be true. Overdoing it in the first trimester can also cause this, that is why it is very important to just try to rest and not stress and it is very possible that your body will recover and overcome this. This also happened to a friend of mine, she thought she was miscarrying, but went on to have a healthy baby girl. Your doctor should also do an ultrasound to see if the baby is any kind of distress, my doctor called me in the day the bleeding began and did an ultrasound. If it continues, your doctor can also do a blood test to check your hcg hormone levels. Good Luck, I hope everything works out for the best.

i have been going thru the same thing i ahve been pregnant before and had a beautiful baby boy who is going to turn three but with this pregnancy in which i am only 7 weeks i started spotting a little bit and i totally freaked out. Even though i was pregnant before this never happened to me. I started spotting about 1 week and half ago very light and i got worried i called my doctor and they put me on bed rest and told me if it happened again to go to the hospital, but i was not having any cramping or blood clots or heavy bleeding. So a couple of days later i started again and i called my clinic and they told me to go to the hospital so i went got my blood drawn, and had a ultrasound in wich i saw my baby and the heart beating god that was such a relieve. After a long wait the doctor came in and told me that i had what was called a small subchorionic bleed and that was what is was causing the bleeding. it just a bleeding a collection of blood between some of the layers of the placenta and does not affect the baby or interfere with the pregnancy. It will stop bleeding on its own and causes no harm. It is unlikely that it will return at any time later on in the pregnancy. so i was relief what i would advice you is to go to the hospital just to have an ultrasound and check your baby out and i am 100 percent sure everything is going to turn out fine. Just hearing my baby's heart beat and looking at it beat reasured me that everything is fine. hopefully this helped you out and just relax and think about your beautiful baby that you are carrying inside your tummy!

Bleeding during pregnancy is never considered "normal", but bleeding during the first trimester is fairly common. Between 20-25% of women who go on to have healthy babies experience some bleeding in the first trimester.
I did bleed in 3 of my 5 pregnancies and yes, all my babies were born full term and healthy.
Good luck!!

My friend just delivered a healthy baby boy. She spotted pretty heavily in her 4th month. My sister also spotted considerably when she was pregnant with her 2nd, and he was born healthy, although she ended up on bed rest for the last 3 months of her pregnancy.
However, I also spotted when in my 4th month and ended up miscarrying.
It could go either way. There are a lot of different reasons why this happens. If you experience any cramping go to the hospital. Hope for the best, I'll pray for you and your babe.

It is very normal for you to spot or even as they may say a light period a very irregular period. Don't stress stay clam because then you can stress out the baby and you don't want to do that. Relax lay on your left side and drink plenty of liquids. I am a medic for the us army and i've been in your situation with my first child. God bless you and the best of luck to you.

I spoke with my midwife about this a few days ago... She said that if it is only bleeding, or only cramping, then she doesn't worry about it too much. She said she usually only worrys if there are both.... So as long as you are not cramping too, you shouldn't worry too much. I am sure that is hard, but I bet it will be fine... I was having cramping with no bleeding about a weeks ago, but it stopped, and the baby seems fine.... Good Luck!!!!!!

An u/s would show if there's a heartbeat. Your chances of miscarriage go down quite a bit once a heatbeat is seen, though of course it's no guarantee.
Some women experience unexplained bleeding, like subchorionic hemorrhages that resolve themselves and result in a full-term pregnancy. Best of luck to you!

My mother had 3-4 day "periods" with my younger sister. I had spotting but nothing that significant. There is nothing to do but what. My thoughts are with you!

i haven't ever been pregnant but i've heard online and from family and friends who are nurses that you can still get your period while pregnant sometimes as heavy as ever sometimes light, so it could be that, but even if it's not every pregnancy's different so try not to stress about it. Stress could actually make you miscarry even if this is just a fluke. i know it's hard, just do your best.
