if the speed of light =3.00*10^8 m/s
then you will need to divide that by 1000 to get kilometers per second
then use the formula 1km = .6214 to convert it to miles
then multiply that by 60 to make it a minute
then by 60 again to make it a hour
then by 24 to make it a day
then by 365 to make for a year
you do the math !!!!

Can't be done. A light year is a measure of distance, not velocity.
The speed of light in miles per year is about
(3.00*10^8 m/s)(0.6214 mi/km)(3,600 s/h)(24 h/d)(365 d/y) = 5.87894112*10^15 mi/yr
edit:
which, incidentally, is 1 light year per year

3*10^8 m/s * 621.4 miles/m * 60 s/min * 60 min/hr * 24 hr/day * 365 day/year = 5.87894112*10^18 miles/year

A light year is a measure of distance, so it's not "miles per year". Its just miles, or kilometers.

you already have miles per second
so, how many seconds in a year
think
then you multiply the seconds by the travel for 1 second
