I was just watching the news and saw yet another you-tube gang beating video. Why are there known gangs and their members who are allowed to live in our society, when they have no desire to be a part of the community. Unfortunatly I feel because most gangs are either black or hispanic and who's members are from poor or broken homes, it is politically incorrect to put an end to it., only excuses are made for their behavior, usually societys fault, no personal responsibility. Also another major obstacle are the lawyers who defend them and groups like the ACLU.

It seems that the truth offends some people. I agree that the KKK falls in the same category. That does not negate what I said.

I'm Latina and that is an embarrassment for us. Many others may not like the fact the that you said that most gang bangers are black and Hispanic but the fact is that is true and the only ones who are to blame are the gang bangers and whatever caused them to become that way. I live in Aurora, IL where gang violence has increased and that is just sad. Maybe they should just send all gang bangers to Iraq. The only white gang i've actually seen in real life are former Gaylords from Chicago. You should read the book "My Bloody Life: The Making of a Latin King" it shows the how a former gang banger grew up. It doesn't glorify them or anything he just shows how they end up in that life, it is a good read.

While reading your question, I can't help but wonder why the K.K.K. and their violence was tolerated for so long? And why is the mafia still allowed to operate in our country?
Why can't we put a stop to the crimes that are committed on capital hill? And what about corporate crime?
Street gangs should be the least of your worries.

It is not a racial issue, they allow it because as you said most gangs are in poor neiborhoods (all races). So the government allows it as a form of population control.
