Let's think about it for a moment, especially as it relates to football. The game is complicated. No one knows what's going on out there, and the coaches and players have the worst view out there. They really don't know what happened until they watch video. The media would like fast answers, but such responses really aren't forthcoming.
Even so, reporters should ask questions. Too many throw out statements and wait for reactions. "Coach, your team really made a nice comeback in the second half." That's bad work on the reporter's part, and leaves the subject with little room to go anywhere with the answer.
And the source often can give insight into the game. There are plenty of good guys out there who tell the media, and by definition the public, insights into the game. Sometimes it won't make the tv clips because it's too long a quote, but good answers are out there.

I think they are dumb because the athlete does not want to be there. They want to be celebrating the win with their team or they want to be away from everyone in a loss.
The worst post-game interview was Ray Rice from Rutgers though after they won their bowl game this year. He said "man" like 40 times in 2 minutes.

Mostly because the players just want to get cleaned up and go home. They have done there work and are ready to leave. I wouldn't care to stay after I get off work and do an interview about what I had done.

because there is only so many thing you can really say about a game and the reporters just ask the same dull lame questions everytime and anytime the player gets a question that might be interesting they dogde it by laughing or giving a we will see answer

You answered your own question my good man, they are obvious and pointless. Every player responds "um they are a good team and it was hard fought its just that we fought a little harder. I have respect for them and their players...Its a great organization" my favorite is "we're taking it one game at a time" ITs very redundant and repetitive.. Its not even worth watching.
