Depends on the drug, the state, and who's prosecuting you. Try googling your state, the drug, and "statue of limitations". Search engines are a wonderful new invention :\

Depends on the state or if it is a federal charge(smuggleing across the border or something really big or bold/stupid) and there are different limitations for each kind of degree of crime like there is no limitaion on murder but specific levels of felony charges will each carry their own limitation... More info needed for any resonable answer ++but++
It's pretty safe to assume that you're gonna get it because 2 and 1/2 years is not very long for drugs. If they want to get you for it they can very likely get you for it.

statute of limitations will vary, depending on jurisdiction, and on the specific charges. generally, the statute of limitations is never longer than seven years, except for some offenses which are not subject to the statute of limitations, such as murder.
you can call a criminal attorney and they will tell you the limit based on the specific charges.
