Advertise, Advertise, ADVERTISE!!! Don't have a set price, instead say (for example) $4500 or best offer. That way people who can't afford the $4500 know that you might consider whatever offer they have. Also, have you ever considered keeping your horses or leasing them to other people for a small fee? I am in college and my parents keep my horse on their farm for me. A great website to sell your horses is equine.com but I would search through google or whatever and find as many online advertising websites as you can. Plus, advertise in your local newspaper.
Please make sure your horses go to a good home! Just because you need to sell them quickly doesn't mean they should be handed off to the first person who is interested in them! If you're going to school in the fall, you have a good 3 months to sell your horses, so please take the time to find a good owner(s) for your horses. If you have a local riding school nearby, maybe they would be interested in buying either of your horses. Check out all your possibilities and good luck!

I had some sucess on www.dreamhorse.com it is a nice site. Or even a newspaper, flyers at a tack or feed store, barns. Take them to a schooling show, show them and put a For Sale sign on the pad. It works I swear!! I had a little girl fall in love with my old gelding and her parents saw it be shown and knew it was a safe horse for her. Good Luck!

at first, you would be an entire fool to purchase a horse and not utilising a vet examine. no rely how little a horse expenditures, a vet examine for soundness and wellbeing (something that even the main experienced horse individual could agree can't relatively be executed via a layman) can spot underlying themes and save you various money interior the destiny. there are various motives that a horse might properly be underweight (loss of feed is onlt one) and till you elect for to risk huge vet costs interior the destiny. i'm in touch that in case you do no longer think of paying $one hundred fifty for a vet examine is properly worth it for a $4 hundred horse, what's going to your attitude in direction of procuring vet care in this low priced horse be if a actual wellbeing subject vegetation up. As to your different questions, that's actually available to place weight on an older horse. the 1st element you are going to be able to desire to do is make helpful there are not any underlaying wellbeing themes (subsequently the vet examine) and artwork out a feed plan which will provide your horse the food it desires with out overloading its equipment. too a lot feed or feed that's in simple terms too wealthy for a horse that's malnourished can actually reason a horse to cholic. you are going to be able to desire to make helpful that the pony is wormed via fact a heavy parasite load might properly be a substantial wellbeing subject. returned, you will might desire to artwork with a vet. undergo in recommendations that going and not utilising a vet examine isn't basically a guess on your area, yet a guess on the pony's as properly. And interior the top, she would be in a position to be the only paying the fee in case you guess incorrect.

Where I live we have an animal auction twice a year. The problem with this is alot of the animals there are not well taken care of by their owners especially the horses. But I'm assuming that your not one of those people; the horses there are almost always sold.

Just please be careful about selling to people that will in turn sell for meat. This exists still on a rather large scale here in the United States!
I know this doesn't help you but it got me worried.
Have a great day. :o)
