it would make sense,you can have the best of the english teams,irish,welsh and scottish just think ryan giggs and roony,terry,etc in in the same "UK" Team,lets get it on,what do you think.

No because the English press would only want English players in the team managed by an English manager. Watch Football Focus on Saturadays and there is 30 seconds on the SPL and nothing on the leagues in the other Celtic nations. That tells you exactly why the Celts don`t want a UK team. And we haven`t even started talikn g about the thuggish supporters that England drag all over the world with them.

Simple, each country's national governing body (e.g English FA) is too pround to agree to merge their team with the fellow British teams.

The problem would be that there would be 9 English players in the squad because there aren't many world-class players from Wales/Scotland/Ireland and then there would be a nightmare race-hate problem.
