STEM CELL RESEARCH IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN LEGAL.

The debate is over the question of Public Financing of stem cell research on Human Embryos.

There are other sources of stem cells - from adults, from umbilical cord blood (which does not harm the baby). But none of these are addressed in the current debate.

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A BAN ON RESEARCH OF ANY TYPE OF STEM CELLS - only a ban on spending PUBLIC money to kill embryos to harvest their body parts.

Stem cell research is legal as well it should be. I remember when the first heart transplant happened back in the 60's , the church tried the same arguments they are making . Advances in medicine are good things, only problem is, the Catholic church wants us all to live based on an archaic book written a couple thousand years ago and use fear to blur the fact that this is the 21st century and the same brains that "God" provided us with, are the brains coming up with these new advances to make our lives easier. Not in the church's best interests.

Stem Cell Research is legal.
There has been 72 cures so far found with adult stem cells.

So far there hasn't been any found with fetal stem cells.

The only line of stem cells that is being question is that from destorying embros. That is not being funded.

However, there are other sources of stem cells like cord blood, after births and more.

Yes, of course it should. All those people who claim that it's "unethical" are just trying to lord their religions over the government. The government shouldn't make laws based on what some lunatic thinks God "says", so yes, Stem Cell Research should be legal.

Stem cell research is legal. It is the embryonic that is illegal.
Research takes alot of money.
If any good would come out of this, don't you think all the bio pharmaceutic companies would be pouring $$$$ in for a cure to make them more dollars?

No. There are other ways to do the same thing without destroying an embryo.

God gave us souls at the moment of conception, thus when we kill a child that is not yet born we are commiting MURDER.
