The answer is both. The stuff you see on TV is "fake" but every one of those moves can be real if done just a little bit differently. the performers are incredibly talented in being able to make it still look real while altering it just enough to keep everyone alive. The blood is real but not a big deal, there are several bloodvessels very close to the skin on your forehead, a slight scratch to the forehead will bleed like a stuffed pig, but can be stopped fairly quickly with slight pressure to the wound.

Some times its real while other times its not. WWE stands for world wrestling entertainment which means that the matches are scripted but the blows arent. The scenes like when 2 superstars talk back stage is all fake. In the ring its real. Even though the chair shots are fake it is real.

Professional wrestling is real. WWE is predetermined. Professional wrestling happens on a mat like in high school & college not in a ring. WWE is not professional wrestling. It wrestling entertainment at it's best but they are wrestlers.

Well, if you classify professional wrestling, theres Mixed Martial Arts, which is real, amateur wrestling, which is real, and pro wrestling, which, in this case, is not. WWE is professional wrestling, therefore not real, and thus is acting. injuries do occur, and most are kayfabe (fake) there are the odd times that wrestlers are actually injured.

It is scripted but the maneuvers they do are real and they do sustain serious injuries. They know what moves they are performing and they know the outcome of the matches because they are rehearsed beforehand. Oh, and the only reason they are so muscular is because of drug abuse (steroids). They are not healthy and often have very short lives.

its a combination of both acting and atheleticism
as u may have noticed that the matches go thru storylines and as far as wrestling goes its pretty much real except the punches
and matches are pre determined
so that means its basically 60% acting and 40% atheliticism

trick question. The "fakery" comes in the presentation of what they do with the storyline and that the outcome of the match is already decided.
They are still exhibiting athletic prowess in what they do and that part of it is real (and they sometimes actually do injure themselves), as well as timing in doing those feats

Its total acting. I think that if you got hit in the head with a metal chair you would be out like a light.
