kept my eye on the prize, my degree. the time spent in college goes by very quickly! i have many friends who dropped out, much to their regret for now they are too caught up in life to sacrifice the time or the money (with kids or husbands/wives or jobs). i also had many friends i passed by while they wasted their time partying and just doing nothing. if you dont want to go to college, dont waste everyones time and money, including your own. if you want a degree, just do it. it is that simple. you make a contract. you do this and this and this, and we will give you a degree. just do it.

I don't know. The meaning of success in college has changed from my parents' generation to mine. My parents learned who they were and gained a sense of adulthood while in college, but now they both are in careers not related to their bachelors' degrees. They appreciated the educations they got more than the degrees they ended up with. I on the other hand can't wait to graduate because I'd rather develop myself while working toward my career goals. College is just a way to get a better paying job to me now. I don't appreciate college like my parents did because of different circumstances.
