Thank you for posting the sarcasm part. I saw one person who posted that for real. What an idiot they were.

Yes it was an inside (cough cough) job. Everyone knows it.

He failed to make sure reps won the election in November, by not telling the TRUTH about terrorism that has been quieted as just accidents, coincidences, etc. in this country, and the real threats we face. The continual sellout to Mexico doesn't help. This allowed democrats to run up the white flag on Iraq, and thus emboldened Iran's crackpots, thinking there is no way Americans would allow an attack on Iran, they repeated their 2004 stunt of taking (historically/legally you call this "piracy") British personnel hostage in those straits, by claiming Iran does not honor the treaty which gave these waters to Iraq, so therefore, in their convuluted thinking, they have a right to do this. The Brits have no excuse for letting it happen again, and you can bet their navy hasn't had such a bad day in public opinion since the Hood went down.

It smacks of the two Gulf of Tonkin incidents. In August of 1964, United States President Lyndon B. Johnson claimed that North Vietnamese forces had twice attacked American destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin. Although there was a first attack (in response to U.S. equipped and orchestrated South Vietnam's commando raids on the coast) , claims of a second attack were later proven to be unfounded. Known today as the Gulf of Tonkin Incident, this led to the open involvement of the United States in the Vietnam War, with the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution.

Maybe by playing war games with our 3 warships in the Persian Gulf, by talking about using tacticle nuclear weapons on Iran, and use of other intimidation- he is making the Iranians paranoid, just like he has with many here in the great homeland. I'd be interested if there were untouched, un"enhanced" satelite pictures showing where the Brits were. Again, if the Brits were there for Iraq war...isn't that on Iraq sand? explain. Bush tried to tell you this once: fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I tend not to believe anyone who has lied to me before...wiretaps need court order. WMD, etc. If there are leakers we are going to look for them (they didn't), if we find leakers, they will be dealt with (they weren't) Come on.

I guess you could start with: he inflated or misrepresented intelligence reports that ended up getting them sent there in the first place.

You can bet money on it. It is simply just another one of his ploys so he can go and attack Iran and steal all of their oil.
