Ive been sexually active since six months ago. But, ever since I started having sex my periods have become VERY irregular. They were irregular to start with but now they are ridiculous. Ive had a few pregnancy scares but nothing ever happened. I havnt had sex since before my last period, and while i was waiting for that one i thought i was pregnant too. That last period lasted for about 8 days. I guess what Im asking is could I be pregnant and if it isnt even remotely a possibility then does anyone know if sex changes the cycle of periods? Could this be due to stress?

I miss my period during months over the year but that always happens to me when I start a high diet.
From 4 months my periods last the same as you 7-8 days and I have it every 15 days, I have to see the doctor on Tuesday I´ll tell you more.......
The only I know is that it has nothing to be with sex.

You should definately go on birth control of some sort. It will set your mind at ease and help regulate you.

Also since you were irregular to begin with there's a good chance it's not related to you becoming sexually active.

Stress could always throw you out of wack.

Talk to your doctor.

i'm going through something similar.
i've been waiting for my period for like 2 wks now. me and my bf always use condoms and check them afterwards. [so pregancy is very very unlikely] but me im quite PARANOID in that subject, so i took two preg tests and naturally both were negative. i think it's due to stress though, cus ive been under ALOT of stress lately. also, im supposed to start the pill when my period comes, which sucks cus it's become irregular and late! ugh.
good luck with yours, but it would be idea for you to get on birth control, it'll give you more peace of mind and regulate your periods.

you really need to get on birth control! not only will this make your periods regular, but you need to be protected when having sex so you won't have that scare. you can get them for free and confidential at the health department.
