When you get your score back, it will also tell you what percentile you are in. Percentiles tell you how well you did in comparison to all other test-takers. For example: If you are in the 95th percentile that means you scored higher than 95% of people who took the test. That will probably be the best indicator of how well you did.

Generally speaking, the score you got on that practice test is great. My practice tests were in that range, but my actual test score was 1310 (its common to have your actual score be a bit lower, blame it on stress). When I took it a 1310 was 98th percentile, which is not bad at all and allowed me to earn a full scholarship.

Good luck, it sounds like you did very well!

A 1360 out of 1600 is pretty good, so congrats! The average out of 1600 is 1200, and I'd say anything around and over 1400 is a competative score. Good luck for tomorrow!!

um...nudeskulL, most colleges check only the reading and math, which is out of 1600. i guess that's why people usually refer to 1200/1600 as average. anyways for the next school year (sept 2008 admissions) most schools are going to check the writing part since the SAT was "recently" changed.

a 1360 out of 1600 is very good. 1360/2400 is not that good.

umm... I don't undestand why these ppl are saying that the perfect score for the SAT is 1600. That stopped (a) year(s) ago. Or should I go back and check if this question was posted a several years ago?
Hasn't anyone heard of the New SAT? It's now out of 2400. Each section counts for 800 points. Keep up peoples. It's 2007 and if you looked, you'd realize there's a new SAT.

Yes, a good score especially for college is 1200 -1300 but that's not a hard and fast rule. Ask around at colleges and see what they look for. It might give you an idea.
