I let my computer run all of the time. Though, I have it set up to hibernate if I don't use it for two hours straight.
Pros:
Fast access to your computer and its software.
Cons:
Higher Electricity Bill
Wears down your hardware faster.

The only con is a possibly higher energy bill if you leave it on for many hours. If you will get access to your computer in under an hour or so, then I would most certainly just leave it on because you won't have to go through the trouble of re-booting your pc. hope this helped. O_o

it's hard on any type of electronics to turn it off and on. I keep my computer on 24/7 unless there is an electrical storm. Then I unplug it. Another pro is you don't have to wait for it to boot back up before you can start using it.
There are no pros to turning it off that I can see.
As far as the electric bill most monitors are energy star rated so there is no real drain on electricity. I doubt that you would noticed a change in your electric bill.
