What if Yahoo only allowed reporting for levels 4 and up? That might keep some of the random trolls from abusing it.

If someone new sees a problem, then there should be a contact email so that Yahoo can personally check the material to make sure it's violation worthy. I AGREE REPORTING SUCKS, but in the meantime it's going to happen regardless.

Sandra, I mean that levels 4 and up can do the reporting. Anything lower would have to send an email and let Yahoo check it out first to make sure it is truly a violation. By random trolls I mean people that harrass for the sake of harrassing. They have personal problems with a user and end up reporting them over and over for no real reason.

Great idea! Maybe you could just make it no reporting for levels 1 and 2. Most of the trolls don't make it past there.

Meaning: - Only level 4 and up can only report someone or we can only report a level 4 and up?
- When you say random trolls from abusing it, abuse what?
- The reporting of abuse or lower levels reporting on other rude, obsence pics. or remarks?
Please clarify for me?

No, I don't feel that is fair, because we all have to start out somewhere and the new people joining can be just as serious as a 4 and higher level!
Just because a few bad apples are abusing it, doesn't mean we should limit others comments or rights. That why the guide lines are put in place to begin with. WE ALL HAVE TO FOLLOW THEM. Abuse it you lose it. I also feel it's bad enough a level one has no say until higher into the levels to follow.
This is all about asking, answering and feeling the need of helping others. (The right way) Unless your in it just for the Brownie points and not the real cause.

Yes! That is a great idea! Usually the ones who report are the silly ones that are only in level 1 and very ignorant of Yahoo Answers etiquette.

i think that we shouldent be reporting.. ..ppl still abuse no matter what level like then ppl are gonna start answering more just to report mmore..yahoo should have more monitors.
