If you'd like something different...try the Rockabye Baby! albums...they are Lullabye renditions of Nirvana, Metallica, etc... The sound is not heavy at all as songs are redone with instruments like vibraphone... A nice change that even an adult could enjoy.

Anything. Kids songs, rock songs, pop I even let them listen to tejano (it has a repetitive beat) Kidz bop, anyone of those Cd's. I got yahoo! Jukebox so I can pick and chose the songs and then LEGALLY burn them to a CD that way the baby will get a variety. each of my kids had different tastes when they were babies, oldest like Classical, middle liked Hard rock and youngest liked....boy bands, yes Backstreet Boys. (still shudder)

I think classical and soft music is a great idea. Try some like nature sounds and scenes. You can buy them at walmart or target for real cheap. Best of luck to you and baby!

Whatever song you choose, sing it yourself. Even if you don't think you have a great voice. You'll be able to soothe your little one after she's born this way, too. She will always love the sound of your voice. (Well, until she's in her teens anyway... :) All the best to you and your little one!

When my daughter was still in-womb she loved to hear Squirrel Nut Zippers. She's 8 now and still does.
